BIM—Building Information Modeling

SRM Mechanical Design, Inc. has the experience and training necessary for BIM projects.

BIM requires 3D computer models that are virtual representations of all building elements including walls, columns, beams, slabs, etc. Specific to the MEP trades, all physical properties of the pipes, duct, conduit, fittings, valves, equipment, etc. are represented.

2D drawings are provided for use in the field. Fabrication (spool) drawings can be provided if requested.

SRM Mechanical Design, Inc. BIM Models allow for:

· Seamless modeling and installation of MEP piping and duct systems with 3D computer programs

· Resolution of coordination issues before they are encountered in the field (leading to fewer time delays, RFIs, and change orders)

· Interference tests and 4D simulations linked to the project schedule with Navisworks Manage
